Your stay in the Southern Cape of South Africa ensures to be memorable, but there are a few pointers to know upon arrival. Use the prompt below to get a better understanding.

Leaving from IAD / Dulles Washington, DC; expect overall air travel time to total 17 hours. Airline will be determined upon deposit date, individual upgrades and additional baggage are always available once we book your flight.

Your initial stay will be at the City Grand Hotel in Johannesburg! This hillside hotel with panoramic views is located adjoining the airport; no need to worry…..your reservations and bookings will already be handled!

Whilst all travelers will leave from Washington IAD / Dulles International airport and arrive in JHB Johannesburg, everyone has options of where they would like to visit on their initial leg. These options include:
Botswana
Limpopo
Nebbi, Uganda
You will be prompted to choose from these excursion options upon booking.

October will be the transition from spring to summer in Cape Town; expect daily temperatures in the 60’s to 70’s Fairenheit
The country of South Africa’s national currency is the South African Rand (ZAR), which currently exhanges at a rate of $1 USD to $18.75 African Rand (ZAR). You will be able to exchange currency after the Customs / Immigration process in the airport. Most retailers accept standard VISA, possibly Mastercard / Amex debit credit transactions.
Most people you interact with will speak the English language, with their primary native dialect spoken depending upon the family / tribal heritage of whom you are speaking to.
South Africa is known as the “rainbow country” with a wide assortment of people, backgrounds, associations, etc.

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN UGANDA
From Washington IAD / Dulles International all the way to Nebbi, Uganda. Prepare for a long voyage, with initial arrival being Kampala, Uganda. From there its another short flight to Arua, then drive to your destination being the “Satellite One” Hotel.

DAY 2: Nebbi - KALOWANG Destiny Academy
A day of service and mission. Day Two in Nebbi is all about faith-based service and giving back to the children at Kalawang Destiny Academy. The faces of youth and staff are guaranteed to warm your heart.

DAY 3: Second Day At KALOWANG Destiny ACADEMY
A second day of giving and faith at Destiny Academy. More time to offer ourselves to the souls and spirits who need it most.

DAY 4: DEPART UGANDA FOR AMERICA
Today will be eventful. Two main thoughts: morning to afternoon excursion, then late travel flights departing Uganda. Click the section titles below for more information.

We begin with an excursion to one of the wonders of nature within Uganda: Murchison Falls National Park. Travel the apex of Lake Albert on the Victoria Nile in Uganda, witnessing views of a majestic waterfall. Cameras recommended.

Flights leave Nebbi towards the late afternoon; we arrive to the airport by 5:00 pm.
